Whenever I cook something in the oven, Samara gets really obsessed with the oven mitts and wants to play with them. (Doesn't she look super cute with her braids?)

2/20/15: Sick
February 20, 2015
*Note: This post mentions vomit a few times. If this grosses you out, stop reading!
Last night I called Seth at bowling, urging him to come home ASAP as Samara vomited all over the floor and, of course, Zane was crying hysterically and not sleeping. It is in moments like this that I realize I am not an unflappable person and was basically freaking out/annoyed/grossed out because I was carrying her when she threw up, so it went all over the two of us before hitting the floor.
This morning, Samara vomited in her bed and somehow slept in it. It was a sad, sad, gross mess. After she was clean, she was super clingy and FREAKED OUT when I was feeding Zane. She screamed and cried hysterically and then both kids passed out on me in bed.

This seems super cute, and it was for 5 minutes before it became the most uncomfortable position ever. I was able to slip out and put Zane in his own room, but then I ruined it by trying to get Samara to go in her bed. That did not happen. More FREAKING OUT happened. Then I chatted Seth and requested that he come home as early as he could.
2/16/15: Shoveling and a cookie

I used to keep a small plastic shovel in the back of my car. So when it snowed AGAIN and Samara wanted to help Seth shovel, it seemed the perfect size for her.

Samara was rewarded for her help with a cookie. It was a shortbread cookie that had a dollop of raspberry jam on the top. Here is how she eats it:
